Drakeford

Shonte Drakeford, AGNP-BC, is a positive, outgoing primary care nurse practitioner specializing in adult gerontology. She serves patients at Chivic Healthcare Services in Lanham, Maryland, providing evidence-based care for people ages 13 and older. 

Shonte received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Bowie State University in Maryland and her Master of Science as a nurse practitioner at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. 

Compassion and education are central components in managing the care of her patients. Shonte has over 16 years of experience in the medical field as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. She has practiced in various healthcare settings around the United States, providing preventative care, referrals to specialists, and the treatment of patients with a variety of illnesses and injuries. 

Shonte is also a team player who collaborates with her colleagues. Her goals are to ensure patients are heard and feel safe with the care they receive. 

In her spare time, Shonte operates an entire farm, cooks, plays video games and travels.
