Marianne Bitner, CRNA, PMHNP-BC

Marianne has been a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She holds a Masters Degree in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University and is dual certified as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Marianne offers psychiatric services throughout Maryland for children and adults via telepsychiatry. (Telepsychiatry is the delivery of psychiatric services using interactive audio, video, or other telecommunications or electronic technology where the licensed healthcare provider and the patient are not in the same physical location). She treats ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Phobias, Panic disorder, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, Mood disorders, Schizophrenia and Substance abuse disorder. Her extensive background in healthcare has helped her develop empathetic and compassionate caring for others. She has seen the impact of opioid addiction and its effect on patients, family members, and professional coworkers. Marianne has interest in addiction recovery, and supports the use of medication-assisted treatment, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. Marianne has completed medication-assisted treatment training and is able to prescribe buprenorphine.
